Starting in January... a life-changing book study about A NEW EARTH
Begin reading now so you will be able to share insights and inspiration with others on Sunday, Jan. 4
and then join us to discuss the famous book by Eckhart Tolle that followed THE POWER OF NOW. Led by Nancy Spence and Steve Spence, we will cover two chapters per week of this illuminating, enlightening, and uplifting book that shows readers how to awaken to a new state of consciousness for a better way of life. We will meet in the Annex (NW corner of Lindsay & Southern) from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for six Sundays until Feb. 8. Don’t miss the opportunity to study how we can transcend our ego-based thought to end conflict and suffering and create a more fulfilling existence. Saturday, Nov. 15 – HIKE on South Mountain
Beverly Canyon, Javelina Canyon, and/or Ridgeline Trail.
Plan to hike for two to three hours. We may form two different groups. The slower strollers may go only a few miles or part way. One group may go approximately 7 miles at a moderate pace. This is a fairly strenuous uphill climb with a rewarding view of Phoenix at the top. We will carpool to the parking lot and trailhead at Baseline and 46th St. There are no bathrooms or a Ramada. We may have an optional lunch afterwards, so plan to make a day of it! Bring at least 2 liters of water, shoes with good tread and a snack for break time. 10 a.m. - Hiking/Walking in the Park, NOON to afternoon/sunset - Gigantic Potluck
Bring a dish to share with 6-8 people (Nancy will provide the turkey and table service.) BYOB - Bring whatever you want to drink but no glass please. Also, you may want to bring a chair and wood to share in our fire (if it happens to be cool).

BYOB and bring a "quality" potluck dish (meaning no packaged cookies, snacks, chips, etc., and please no grocery store-bought desserts!)
