PHOENIX HUSTLE presents DISCO NIGHTS

Hustle Dance with lessons at La Taverna (was Mythos) every Wednesday (started Sept. 10)
We are thrilled to be hosting Disco Nights at La Taverna. This used to be Mythos, the club where Shawn and Brandy had been hosting their Thurs. night Salsa for years, and it was always PACKED. The venue is awesome. It has a huge wood floor, a great sound system, cool a/c, drink + yummy food specials, and a festive ambiance.
This week La Taverna is providing a sampling of appetizers (complements of The Hustle Crew). Also, anyone ordering a full entree pays no cover charge. (That makes the dinner over 50% off). There are drink specials all night: Margaritas, Strawberry Daquiris and Pina Coladas (with alcohol or NOT) are $2.50, Well drinks are $3.00, Coors Light $2.50. They also have an extensive wine selection, and beer on tap. Cold bottled water and sodas are $2.00. Food- both appetizers and dinners are served until close.
Unlike a dance studio, we all need to support the restaurant/bar so that we can keep DISCO NIGHTS happening every Weds. at La Taverna.
Both Hustle and West Coast Swing (as well as brand new) dancers will have fun at Disco Nights. DJ Girl Wonder spins the best hustle and contemporary WCS/hustle crossover music in town, with a bit of salsa, cha cha and NC2 in the mix. DJ Girl Wonder was one of the main DJs at the Grand Pacific Dance Championships for Hustle and West Coast Swing in San Jose this past August. She spun Contemporary WCS/Hustle Crossover music and delighted the dancers!
If you signed up for a VIP card, you must pick it up on Sept. 17.

Cover is $6 which includes the lesson ($5 for students with current ID).
(Please support the restaurant with a food or beverage purchase, in lieu of enforcing a 1 or 2 drink minimum)

Join us Saturday Oct. 4, 2008, 7PM-11 PM for Val and Yoscelinda's Birthday Bash along with The Phoenix Hustle and Disco Dance Meetup Group's one year anniversary party – featuring a showcase, with no judges! The showcase will consist of 10 performances: each will be only 1 to 3 minutes long (so we can DANCE!)
This will be the best birthday bash & dance ever in Arizona!
As we are inviting dancers from the various dance communities, DJ Girl Wonder will be spinning an awesome music mix (in no particular order or emphasis) of Hustle, Salsa, Argentine Tango, WCS, Lindy, ECS, NC2, Latin and Ballroom.

The Hustle Dance with lessons at Suite 301 on Thursday has been discontinued until the next ASU break. The bar wants to concentrate on serving "drinks with altitude" to the college students. They were very happy to have us, and want us back for the school breaks in December and next summer. Thanks to all that came out to party with us!
